Running collect queries takes long time to move from stash to index

Hi

We have a set of queries which are used to populate certain summary indexes. When we manually run the queries at the search bar, the search completes showing the message: "Successfully wrote file to '998237198_events.stash_new'". However, the required index is not getting populated. I understand that it takes time for data to move from stash to the index but not sure how long it takes. Can somebody tell me what is the normal time taken for data to be written into the index? Does this process timeout after a while? Is there anything we can do to speed up the process? Any pointers will be appreciated.

Thanks

Keerthana

Hi,
Thanks for your response. I checked the above mentioned link. The path /opt/splunk/var/spool/splunk/ contains no files in my SH node. Also, the splunkd.log file does not show any error as mentioned in the link. Could this still be the same problem?
