How to restric a kvstore not to allow more than 50000 records?

I have a kvstore in my application which should accept max 50000 records. I am using kvstore rest api for ingesting the data.
Could you please provide me a way to restrict the ingestion to certain count.

You can use kvstore Rest API to get count of existing records and restrict data insertion if existing count is = 50000.
