I created a calculated field in one sourcetype and cloned it to another sourcetype. However the other one is not showing when I pipe my sourcetype to look for that field. is there reason why?

I'll wager it's an App and/or Sharing setting issue. Double-check your Permissions and tweak them to be available to the App and/or user roles that match the original Field.

Could be a few reasons.

Does the calculated field actually produce results for the second sourcetype? For all events or just some? what are the permissions for the cloned calculated field?

Check if the cloned calculated field appears for correct sourcetype. Also, try to run the calculated field'd expression inline in search for the other sourcetype to see if it works.

How did you clone it and where are you looking for it?
