Why is there a 500 error on Splunk Enterprise logon screen?

Anyone else ever see a 500 bad request error on the Splunk Enterprise logon page?

If I clear my cookies out for the logon page and refresh that fixes the issue for a few days or longer but then it appears again.

Anyone know how to fix it?
