Why is the deployment server not available in Splunk Enterprise Trial license?

I installed Splunk enterprise trial license and it looks like the deployment server has been disabled. It is asking for a license information. This wasn't the case in past downloads. Does anyone know if something changed? if so how can I get a trial license with forwarder capability?

there not supposed to be any effect as long as license is not being used by 2 separate license masters
having said that, if you would like to keep on using your dev environment, have it configured as a license slave to production license master.
https://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/7.1.2/Admin/Configurealicenseslave
you can also create a license pool and assign a quota to your dev indexer/s

hope it helps
