Good morning,
When RHEL9 will be supported in Splunk Free/Enterprise?
Hi @clopmz,
as you can read at https://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/8.2.6/Installation/Systemrequirements last version of Splunk Enterprise supports every Linux distribution with kernel 3,4 and 5.
RHEL9 has kernel 5.
Ciao.
Giuseppe

Uhmm .... According to this: https://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/latest/Installation/Systemrequirements, RHEL9 is not supported because Kernel 5.X is not supported for Splunk Enterprise or Free edition:
RHEL9 comes with kernel 5.14.0-70.13.1.el9_0.x86_64, not 5.4.X ...
Am I right?
Hi @clopmz,
as you can read at https://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/8.2.6/Installation/SystemRequirements Splunk Enterprise is supported for Linux kernel 5.4 and higher and RHEL9 has a kernel 5.14.
I don't know why they divided Kernel 5.x and higher in two rows, but the first is for Splunk Enterprise and the second for Universal Forwarder.
Anyway, Usually I found dome problem with old versions of Operative Systems, never with the latest version.
Ciao.
Giuseppe
P.S.: Karma Points are appreciated 😉
