Hello Team,

I downloaded Splunk Enterprise on Windows 64 bit from URL https://www.splunk.com/en_us/download/splunk-enterprise.html
On completion of setup the site doesn't open in the browser.

How to resolve it?

Thanks & Regards,
Arvind Kumar Jha

Path Finder

You need a server to run the instance.

For linux versions, once you have downloaded Splunk enterprise from the splunk portal, you need to complete following steps

a. Navigate to the folder where you have the download zip
b. Run tar -xvf
c. Step b shall create a unzip copy of splunk. navigate to bin folder under splunk
d. Start Splunk by command : ./splunk start --accept-license
e. You shall be asked to confirm few terms and conditions, Either scrool or keep hitting spacebar until you complete 100%
f. If 8000 port for server/8889 a smanagement port /8191 for KV Store are all open, splunk shall restart automatically,
g. if f is not all ok, splunk will prompt user to enter new port. Add the new port and press enter.
h. Once start Splunk successfully, navigate to browser and go to : and you shall see the login screen of your splunk setup. All set.

if this answer help your concern, take a minute out and reward points and assign a badge. Thanks.
