Not able to run the Splunk search - getting error in 'litsearch' command saying license expired or limit exceeded.

Getting the following error, when trying to run the splunk search

Error in 'litsearch' command: Your Splunk license expired or you have exceeded your license limit too many times. Renew your Splunk license by visiting www.splunk.com/store or calling 866.GET.SPLUNK.
The search job has failed due to an error. You may be able view the job in the Job Inspector.

Is this error because of the renewing of Splunk license?

yes, are you using the 500mb free license? So maybe is more than 60days os use or you indexing more than 500mb.
