Is there a way to download the Splunk license to keep as a backup?

I have a single node Splunk instance, but due to a mistake, I deleted the instance I had on my laptop.
Is there a way to download the license to keep a backup of it from my Splunk instance?

When you purchase the license it is received in email and generally attached to your splunk.com account. You have to "upload" the license to the server. So yes, you would create a backup of the license prior to uploading it to the server.
