In Splunk Cloud, how do I install DB Connect?

Hi,
I'm a little stuck installing Splunk DB Connect into Splunk Cloud? One issue is finding the Java Home (asked upon installation). Also, do I install a connector or forwarder on a machine behind my firewall? I presume that's the case.
Basically I'm trying to query a SQL Server and forward the results of that query to my instance of Splunk Cloud.
Thanks!

You will need to install a Splunk heavy forwarder. From there you can login to the Splunk UI, install the SplunkCloud app for sending data to your Splunk Cloud instance, and you can also install DBConnect.
Download it from : https://splunkbase.splunk.com/app/2686/. Note that there are additional requirements for DBX aside from Splunk. Read the full documentation at http://docs.splunk.com.

Great question, however it is off-topic. I have converted your "answer", to a "comment", so as not to break the Q&A format for which the site is designed. No offense, hope you understand the change.
I encourage you to ask a new question tagged as "cloud", which you can do by following this link: https://answers.splunk.com/answers/ask.html?topics=cloud

It's not certified for cloud yet. But in the meantime you should be able to put it in a forwarder on prem and send to cloud.

I'm trying to use dbconnect in a heavy forwarder and send to cloud. Am able to set identity, connection and able to view the query results in DBInputs under Operations tab.But it fails to forward the data to cloud and log says "Winsock error 10054". What might be happening here?
