How do I convert a trial license to be able to test again?

Hi,

I downloaded Splunk some time ago (obviously more than 60 days ago) and would now like to test again.

How do I convert the license to be able to test again?

Thanks

This is redunant to the answers already out there, but since this is one of the top search results on Google, I thought it should have a reference to where this is officially documented.

You can convert to a perpetual free license from the license manager page (http://your.splunk.host:8000/en-US/manager/system/licensing), just click "Change license group".

If you need Splunk Enterprise features or greater daily volume to test you can contact Splunk Sales or your local Splunk Partner to get a new trial license.

I'm running on Windows 7 64-bit. I cannot log in to change anything.

That doesn't really help me narrow down the issue 😞

What do you get when running this from the CLI:

splunk list licenses | grep "label\|expiration_time\|status"
