Fatal Python error

I installed splunk on sparc sun OS.
so, I downloaded splunk for sparc sun OS, then installed.
But splunk don't start.

Error Message is

Fatal Python error: Failed to read bytes from /dev/urandom
ERROR: pid 16134 terminated with signal 6 (core dumped)

Any ideas on how to resolve this would be great.

I see, that's "Solaris 8" in new parlance? Look into patch 112438 for sparc systems, that should get you /dev/urandom.

Version is SUN OS 5.8.

I believe some older Solaris versions need a patch to get the /dev/random and /dev/urandom, what version are you running?
