Hello,

Is it possible to designate a different splunk instance as the master license server, but through the CLI?

not through the splunk webinterface

Thank you for your time.

Hi,

this docs page might help you. Remove the license master, add new one. Or simply edit the server.conf config file (which is found under $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/system/local in case you're doing it via CLI). It's found under the [license] stanza.
