Where to find an example to log directly into Splunk via log4j?

Could anybody please point me to an example of how to log directly into Splunk via log4j.
I did search extensively on Google, but was unable to find an example..

You can send data directly to Splunk with log4j using our HTTP Event Collector, or with a TCP Input. You can find out more here.
