Where is Splunk_for_VMWare ?

The link to Apps:Splunk_for_VMWare is broken on the wiki download page: http://www.splunk.com/wiki/Apps%3aSplunk_for_VMWare

What is the correct application download page, and is it functional? There are a few posts here about it being release in Fall 2010.

The wiki page link you provided is actually for a very old proof of concept VMware component for use in Splunk 3.x posted back in 2008. It was deprecated and taken down from Splunkbase long ago. The wiki page should have been removed as well.

A next-gen Splunk for VMware Solution is currently under development. The posts about it being released in Fall 2010 are incorrect. We have not publicly announced release dates, so unfortunately we cannot provide you with specifics at this time. The best I can do is recommend that you check back with us in a few months.

In the meantime, we are planning to provide some documentation on how to Splunk a VMware environment without the Solution. The first version of that document should be coming out within the next month. Hope that helps.
