Is there an out of the box script to monitor web pages and web service end points?

I know that I could use the scripted input and call a console program which would in turn call the web service or the web page but I am wondering if there is any other out of the box option.

I am looking for a way to make sure that a particular page on each of the nodes in the cluster is rendering and also make sure that REST or SOAP end points are returning 200.
