Getting Data In

Monitor Files via UNC outside of the Domain

I need to come up with a way to monitor files via UNC (I know this is not the preferred way) for ~140 servers that are not on the company domain. I do have local account information for each of the servers.

I have been told that the universal forwarder is out of the question due to already poor performance on these servers, on top of being vendor maintained. Since these "facilities" are giving us access to this data, out of the kindness of their heart... The likelihood of them allowing is to write a script that moves the data to the domain is also poor, on top of being more resource intensive than the UF.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!!!

We have gotten the vendor to agree to using a script to copy the files to our domain.
