Getting Data In

Is there a faster way to test line breaking configurations without updating crcSalt and restarting Splunk each time?

All,

I am currently playing with some line breaking. But in order to test it I need to update my crcSalt, and restart Splunk. A little time consuming. Is there a faster way of doing this I am unaware of?

You can use the http://<host>:8000/en-US/debug/refresh command.

You can do it on the fly in the UI via the add data feature. It gets a little wonky at times and you have to start over at the sample data upload screen and upload again. Sometimes you have to close your browser and try again too.
