Is it possible to upgrade from 6.0 to 7.0 directly?

Hello,

I have not found any definitive info on upgrading from Splunk 6.0 to 7.0
I would like to go from our very old version to 7.0 - and then even later if possible.
I have only one Windows 2012 VM with Splunk installed - no other servers, etc.
Is this possible, or do I have to do the version 6.x patches or upgrades first?

According to the Install Manual, a direct upgrade from 6.0 to 7.0 is supported:

I forgot to mention, do I need a new key to do this upgrade?
We do have a licensed version of 6.0, but do not know the key.
Is there a way to find it - or will the upgrade on windows find it?

Thanks
