Hi neboutl,

Yes, you can install Splunk forwarders to monitor files and directories on KVMs.
For information about deploying Splunk instances - including indexers, seach headers, and forwarders - inside virtual environments,, please refer to this tech brief:

I worked on a big project and I want to use SPLUNK to monitor this new KVM infra.

Virsh version :
Compiled against library: libvir 0.10.2
Using library: libvir 0.10.2
Using API: QEMU 0.10.2
Running hypervisor: QEMU 2.4.0
