How do you edit user role capabilities using REST API?

I am creating indexes, inputs and roles based on k8s namespace. I was granting user role capabilities, but now, I need to edit capabilities (add or remove some, like change_own_pasword). I was trying to find a solution to do it using the REST API. Is that even possible, please?

#create role base authorization
*echo curl -k -u $user:$password https://localhost:30189/services/authorization/roles/ -d name=${namespace} -d srchIndexesAllowed=${namespace} -X POST*

*echo curl -k -u $user:$password https://localhost:30189/services/authorization/roles/${namespace} -d defaultApp=splunk_monitoring_console -X POST*
