enabling search head on a single index in a index cluster

I am in a situation where we have a PROD and DR index cluster in seperate data centers.
our prod index cluster has moved to an entirely new data center and the old data center will be decomissioned soon.
So i need to enable splunkweb on one of our DR indexers so it can act as a SH and continue indexing.
I am not too worried about performance as search will just be needed on the rare occasion.

If anyone could advise will regular migration steps work?
- copy old prod SH config (apps/users/) to indexer directory
- enable splunkweb

One prod index cluster
-5 indexers
-2 clustered SH
-1 master(for cluster HA)

One DR index cluster
-4 indexers
-1 master

hello there

which Cluster Master is actually the live one? if the live one is in Prod, ill recommend to use the HA Master as the Search Head.
i am not sure an indexer peer can also be a search peer, meaning, connect to the Cluster Master as a Search Head and receive all the other indexers including itself as search peers
other approaches i can recommend:
1. another VM in your production site to work as a DR SH
2. a cloud instance that can see your indexers. if it doesnt work a lot, it can be pretty cheap too.

hope it helps
