Why am I running into an issue while migrating standalone environment to a clustered environment (version 6.1.4)?

I am unable to run init configuration command while setting up deployer example- splunk init shcluster-config command
While adding secret key manually in server.conf in /etc/local/ , it is giving an error like - invalid key in stanza while restarting splunk after changes, and also it is not getting encrypted.
