What happens to any runtime changes, when the deployer redeploys an app to the search head cluster?

For example, say I deploy SomeApp 1.0 to the cluster members and then a user modifies one of the app's dashboards. When I later deploy SomeApp 1.1, will that dashboard change get overwritten?

No. The runtime changes persist across app upgrades.
