Splunk will not load

Hi yesterday I was running Splunk fine and then I went to restart Splunk because I installed the SEP app and it was taking a while to load so I exited out of my web browser. Then when I clicked on the Splunk icon from my start menu nothing happens, it will not load up again. How can I fix this?

Stop Splunk, remove the App, clean the browser cache, restart Splunk.

Then you can download the package with the App from http://splunk-base.splunk.com

Is there anything in the $SPLUNK_HOME/var/log/splunk/splunkd.log?
