Is Splunk Enterprise 7.1.1 compatible with Ubuntu 18.04 Server x64?

Is it safe to run Splunk Enterpise 7.1.1 on Ubuntu 18.04 Server x64? Has it been tested at all?

I have not been able to find any information on whether or not it's supported, or any cases of other people who have successfully run it on this platform. The splunk requirements page doesn't list any distributions that are or are not supported.

I've yet to try myself but will certainly advise my experience when i try

generally speaking the UF will work fine but yet to confirm officially
