Installed Splunk App for NIX now what?

Learning Splunk and plugging away at it.
I downloaded and installed the Splunk App for Nx Version: 5.2.2 on my Splunk Server, (CentOS7)
Accepted default configuration, and the dashboard opens only there is no data.
So I am assuming I need to add data inputs, anyone help me out and tell me exactly what data inputs I need to add please?

Have you installed and configured the Splunk Add-on for Unix and Linux? If you are not following the documentation, it will help if you look at:

• What a Splunk App for Unix and Linux deployment looks like
• Install the Splunk Add-on for Unix and Linux
• Enable data and scripted inputs
