Can you help me migrate data to a new cluster?

Hi,

I administer a Splunk platform that hosts an indexing cluster. I have to build a new platform that also includes an indexer cluster.
I would like to transfer the data historically hosted on the old cluster to the new one.
Currently the indexed data occupies 80 GB of disk space.
I was thinking of using the replication mechanism by integrating the new indexers into the existing cluster. Then once the replication is complete, I delete the old clusters. I would like to know your opinions?

Hi,

more or less you gave your own answer. However, it might be important, to put the old indexers in detention mode, so they do not xreate any new buckets while migrating. There is an other post which suggests this.
