Are there any negative effects with removing the Search Head server role from the Distributed Management Console?

Search Head Cluster, separate Indexers, separate Deployer, separate Distributed Management Console.

Only issue is that DMC server role is set as "Search Head" for some reason. Technically, it is one, but I don't want to see it in the DMC overview that way. Are there any (negative) effects from removing this role from the DMC?

The roles in the DMC are just used for reporting. It shouldn't break your environment in any way to remove the "search head" role from the DMC instance.

tried to test it and found that all instances must have at least one role, and there is no "DMC" role.

I could change it from "Search Head" to one of the other options, but then it would just affect the default reporting of another role.

Well that stinks.
