how to add a hyperlink via custome event templates?

I'm looking to add a hyperlink on each event within the search app? I am looking for a point in a good direction.

I have seen the eventrenderers.conf documentation... and can't quite complete the picture to a template (which template) i can add mako syntax to?

I'd like the link to go to a python or ruby script to do some work...

TIA, Kirby

I believe you are talking about using a custom workflow action. You can find good information on it in the Knowledge Manager part of the manual: http://www.splunk.com/base/Documentation/latest/Knowledge/Aboutlookupsandfieldactions

Setting up a workflow action is quite easy and the documentation on it is pretty thorough. Basically you want to set up a GET or POST action it sounds like and just link it to all fields or eventtypes with *.
