Why were dashboards containing pivots/data models deleted after upgrading to Splunk 6.2?

After the 6.2 update I notice that all the dashboards I created that contains Pivots/ Data Models were deleted. I wasn't exactly sure why it had done this? Is this working as intended?

There is known issue and the defect id is (which is still exists in 6.2)
SPL-82164 Migrating invalid data models from 6.0 to 6.1 fails.

Also, pls confirm, are your data model were working before upgrade? from which version of Splunk you upgraded? whats the directory path your data model config placed? what is OS?
