Why are there multiple attempts needed to invoke drilldown panel?

I have an odd occurence happening where a dashboard that invokes same page panels to display when clicking a value needs multiple attempts to work.

What happens is every click will very briefly show the correct panels, then they will disappear and show the original panel again. If you wait a while, or simply keep clicking, it will eventually work correctly.

Are there any suggestions on to where I should begin looking to remedy this?

I think I figured this out. There were some unset token elements in the XML that when removed, fixed the issue.
