Passing Variable from one view to other view

Hello All,

I am trying to pass value to one view to other.for that i did xml as follows:

Created View Called CityName and wrote xml as follows:

Search activity overview



index="myindex" Subscriber_State=$US_State$| table Subscriber_City

Where US_state is variable pass by another view.

that is:

It is Tag in

/app/myapp/CityName?view.US_State=$click.value$

Can any one tell me where i am going wrong.

Hi,

I'm not sure about how to do it only with Splunk, but I make similar things with Sideview, using the URLloader, and it really works fine...

On your target view, every variable set in the Url is converted to a $foo$ variable, and if you have Inputs (dropdown, textfield) with the same name as the $foo$ parameter, there value is set when the page loads.
