Is selective drilldown possible (can click in chart, not on legend)?

Is it possible to set up a chart in advanced XML that will:

• allow a drilldown if you click in the chart (meaning it passes X and Y values) and
• disable the drilldown if you click on the legend (meaning it would only pass the Y value)?

The receiving dashboard needs to have both the X and Y values and doesn't look right if only Y is passed.
