Dashboards & Visualizations

Is it possible to create re-usable inputs and use them across multiple dashboards?

Hi,

I've got a number of dashboards created with Dashboard studio that need to use the same inputs. As an example, one of these inputs is a drop down to select the environment to filter on.

Currently we add the input to the dashboard by copying the same input code as we have in another dashboard.

Is there a way, in Dashboard studio, to create re-usable inputs rather than copying always the same code?

Have you considered using tabs so each tab would represent your current dashboards but they would share the inputs?

No, I haven't, I wasn't aware of the functionality as I can't see it in the UI I use (seems to be due to the fact I use an on-prem version). I'm getting access to a Splunk Cloud instance soon so I'll look into this feature, thanks for pointing it out to me

On prem works too although you may need at least 10.0
