How to used css in the views and the dashboard

I want use my css in my views and the dashboard,but i don't know before what i need to do .please help me!

You can use your own stylesheet by placing a CSS file in your app. The location of the path depends on which version of Splunk you are using.

For Splunk 5.0: put your CSS in application.css ($SPLUNK_HOME/<your app>/appserver/static/application.css):

For Splunk 6.0: place the following in dashboard.css ($SPLUNK_HOME/<your app>/appserver/static/dashboard.css):

have you checked the application.css in appserver directory in your app?
