Dashboards & Visualizations

How to create dashboard with button that will send results to specified email address?

I apologize if this has already been answered but I did not find anything when searching. This seems very straightforward and I hate to even ask this, but here goes...

I am simply trying to create a dashboard where I can then press a button to email the results to a certain email address. I have an Actions menu at the top, but the only option there is to Print. Is there some way that I can get an Email button under this menu? Or is there some other way to do this? Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks!

See the following post.

This will give a nice workaround to include a button in the dashboard and run a search on click on that button.

Secondly, Splunk provide a search command called "sendemail" (see here) using which you can send email the result of a search (use sendemail in the search of button click).

The only methods I am familiar with would be to either 1) schedule the report to run automatically and e-mail itself when run or 2) export the report to PDF (the button should be right next to the print button) and then manually download and e-mail the file yourself. I don't know of a way to interactively send the report to e-mail and designate random recipients through the UI.
