i have created custom dashboard and new user in splunk, i would like it bring up my custom dashboard view by default for specific user who log into splunk.
is that possible ?
You can't redirect individual users to specific dashboards in an app, however you CAN set a default app per user. This is covered in detail here: http://splunk-base.splunk.com/answers/5/how-do-i-set-the-default-app-in-splunk
