Dashboard Drill Down

If you have a number of traffic lights set-up on a dashboard, is it possible to click on the traffic light when it goes red to see what is causing the alert. From reading other posts I can see it is possible to do it for tables and charts

It is possible, but you will need to use advancedXML to make that happen.

Hey, all you need to do this is at;
http://splunk-base.splunk.com/answers/11152/drilldown-link-in-dashboard

If you haven't worked in AdvancedXML yet all you need to do is go to the view you want to change to advanced XML and add -> ?showsource=1

This will then display the XML in an advanced form and you can copy it, go back to the dashboard, edit it and edit the xml and paste the advanced version in.
