Assuming you're using the Simple Form XML, you want to have a '<input' with 'type="dropdown"' and then having a populatingSearch that uses 'inputlookup' (and perhaps uses a fields command to select one field from the contents of the lookup.

You can read this page about inputlookup, and this page about form inputs.

Unfortunately, it seems we don't. There's the 'typeahead' search function, but it's currently only wired up to the search bar in the "flashtimeline" view. At the moment, it seems it's not easy to do what you've asked.

Hi Sowings..

I dont want to use dropdown since i had a huge list of input variables in lookup.instead i want to use textbox and want to autocomplete the input data on the textbox.

i.e if i type "A" in the textbox , All the inputs that start with "A" should appear below the textbox..this is similar to our basic search textbox we use in splunk..ie if we type anything it will give the list of available options ryt ? . In that fashion i need for my form...

Please Help...
