Prepare to upgrade your Analytics Agent
- Review the Product Announcements and Alerts page for details on any intermediate versions between the current version of your instance and the version you are targeting.
- Review the compatibility matrix in our Community and technical documentation for various components of the AppDynamics environment.
Plan your Analytics Agent upgrade
- The Analytics Agent, Events Service and Controller versions should be compatible:
- The Analytics Agent version should be older or equal to the Events Service version.
- The Analytics Agent version should be older than or equal to the Controller Server version.
- Be sure to maintain copies of:
controller.xml
file
analytics-agent.properties
- job directory
- watermark folder
