simple setup without forwarder?

Is it possible to install this weblogic app without forwarder? I've read WLS_App_TA_Install_Guide.pdf.
I just need to review the dashboard & give presentation to team, it would be easy if it run locally with only single instance splunk.

Btw...is it compatible with splunk 7.2.6?

You can install every app without installing a forwarder. If you need data in the dashboards for your presentation, then you can use the built in functionalities (search for "Data inputs").

Regarding the compatibility: I have made good experience with just trying.
