Hi,
the course material from Fundamentals 1 and Fundamentals 2 is basically what you need for the Power User exam.
Taking exams has changed, as you do all the exams for the same fee at PearsonVUE. Either by visiting a local test centre or by doing it from home (web camera needs to be installed, you need to show the room you're in etc.). All exams must be completed in 60 minutes.
Basically, the best what you can do, besides the two courses, is install Splunk Enterprise with the trial license, ingest some logs and just get used to it doing extractions, creating your own (very basic!) apps and creating searches.
Read some of the .conf presentations about best practices and worst practices.
