im trying to get a simple v1 poll working on interfaces, getting this error, any advice?

Make sure you upgrade to version 2.5.4 or later. I have made a significant number of changes around logging and error handling and the new version will tell you what actually has gone wrong.

logging is better, do i need hostname as opposed to IP?
