if Splunk Add-on for Kafka support splunk 8.0 ?

we are using splunk 8.2 for test ,we want to get data from our IT's kafka, but they don't use kafka connector, so i install Splunk Add-on for Kafka and config the moduler input , but there is no data in my splunk,

i want to confirm if Splunk Add-on for Kafka still support splunk 8.0 or upper version?
