Why is the alert Manager giving no alerts after i installed "alert manager add on"?

Hi

I had Alert manager working great, alerts coming in daily, then I saw there was an add-on. So I took it. Now, no alerts will come up in the alerts manager screen.

Is there some setting that needs to go on?

I reinstall the full alert manager again after delete it to get it to work, not sure if it was something i did or the add on.
