Why does my app icon not display on the bar or apps list in Splunk?

Hey,

I've updated my app, and the icon not display.
I tried the bump option, I cleared Clear browsing data, changed configuration in app.conf
also, the files appIcon_2x.png
appIconAlt_2x.png are in the right size 72x72

any suggestions how to fix it?

if you are seeing appicon as a broken image , then the only issue is permission issue.

Check the file permissions are correct on the files
Also try restarting Splunk.

I find that the icons seems to get bugged out easily and sometimes need a full restart to display.

Do you also have appIcon.png and appIcon_2x.png at the same location?

No I don't have appIcon.png.
The icons located in static app,
$SPLUNKHOME/.../app_name/static
