Splunk App for Jenkins: If our Jenkins version is 1.609.3, what version of the app can I use?

Our Jenkins version is 1.609.3. The documentation for the Splunk App for Jenkins says that the latest version(1.5.2) requires a Jenkins core of 1.642.4: https://wiki.jenkins.io/display/JENKINS/Splunk+Plugin+for+Jenkins
