Splunk Addon for Microsoft MSMQ: How to troubleshoot "Error: unable to initialize Modular input 'msmq'...Unable to locate suitable script for introspection"?

Hi,

I was trying to use Splunk Modular Input for MSMQ from splunkbase. After installation and restart, I see the Message:

Unable to initialize modular input "msmq" defined inside the app "SA-ModularInput-MSMQ": Unable to locate suitable script for introspection.

I don't see the Data Inputs -> MSMQ Monitoring as described by the Documentation. I hope it's related to the same issue.

Any help?

Are you on a Windows server? That is fairly common when a modular input won't run on a platform.
