I've installed the Splunk Add on for IIS app. When I open it from the apps menu on the left hand side of Splunk, it shows me my Splunk Website Monitoring interface. It says Splunk Add on for IIS but everything else is the Website Monitoring app. What's going on??

The Splunk Add-on for Microsoft IIS doesn't contain any views and isn't meant to be a visible app in your app sidebar. The behavior you are describing happens when someone has set Visible to True by accident for that app.

To turn off visibility:

  1. Go to Apps > Manage Apps.
  2. Find the row for the add-on you are working with and click Edit properties.
  3. Under Visible, choose No, then click Save.

Ok, I just noticed that 1.0.1 is incompatible with my version of Splunk . I'll remove and see if I can find 1.0
